The problem is that many meetups become status theaters instead of building rooms. People arrive carrying their company, title, college, funding round, follower count, seniority, and résumé like weapons. Then the actual idea dies before it can breathe.
Before any meetup starts, there should be an oath that should be recited by every participant.
I will not use my title, seniority, college, company, funding, salary, followers, achievements, or experience as a weapon against another person’s idea.
In this room, no one’s background is an argument.
