@mwichary The "analogtv" module in XScreenSaver almost does that; it's a circuit-level simulation of NTSC and its various faults, so it's at the "analog logic" layer rather than the "physics" layer.

@jwz is this how the crt distortion effect is done in the bsod hack? Because that would be pretty neat.
@gnometsunami It is. It's used in "apple2", "xanalogtv", "bsod", "pong", "m6502", "filmleader", and "vfeedback".
