The challenge of the Tangerine Tyrant to the (so-called) global order is (partly) normative:
For Trump, everything is transactional & patterned by zero-sum events - for me to win, you must lose!
The now degrading (previous) global order was built on an (albeit unevenly & imperfectly exercised) norm of rule based mutual advantage; governing international relations (political & economic) through rules worked mostly/unevenly to everyone's advantage.
Trump's actions dismiss such logic
