@wolf480pl yep! but also reverse engineering them and cracking DRM also allowed, also leaks of proprietary source code are fair game

I'm wonderng if companies would still contribute in such a world...

Like, they'd probably continue contributing to upstream Linux, because keeping a downstream fork up-to-date with upstream is difficult when every other company still contributes upstream.

But would a new project be able to reach such an equilibrium without copyleft?
