I can't overstate how much it annoys me that there are three ways to put the stress on the word "Palantír:" the way that my brain tells me is the most natural, the correct way according to Tolkien, and the correct way according to Alex Karp.

@bodil if i were me, i would simply decide that my way is the correct way, and given everything else they were wrong about, that Alex Karp and Tolkien are wrong about this, too.

@meena I'm with Tolkien on this one, though, not least because it's the most amusingly melodramatic pronunciation. It startles the hell out of business bros expecting the Alex Karp pronunciation.
