@cassana yes, the way they type is more “Dutch with Limburg characteristics” than the way they speak aloud to each other

@0xabad1dea Which part of Limburg are they from? My British ex got rather frustrated learning textbook Dutch, because it just didn’t line up with how my family talks, or even random Dutch videos online.

@cassana my husband’s family lives in a village between Sittard and Maastricht. (We live in Amsterdam)
