having mixed feelings about Look Mum No Computer being the UK's Eurovision entry.
on the one hand, hell yeah, excellent choice.
on the other hand, oof, this is going to be deeply politically complicated for him to navigate given that it's impossible to separate participation this year from perception of tacit approval for Israel's continued inclusion in the event.
I'm currently on the fence about even watching it.
@gsuberland I've not watched for years. Nothing to do with Israel. But if I wanted to make a point of protesting against their involvement, I'd watch it but turn off during Israel's performance. Suspect that would send a clearer signal.

Ich hätte mal eine Frage zu Vereinsfußball, und möchte euch bitten nur zu antworten wenn ihr hier Erfahrungen aus erster Hand habt.
Eines unserer Kinder kickt gerne in seiner Freizeit den Ball, es wäre naheliegend ihm mal den Fußballverein vorzuschlagen. Aus meiner Jugend (F-C Jugend) habe ich Erinnerungen an Trainer die zu dreckigem Spiel ermuntern, Eltern die von der Seitenlinie rufen "Tret ihn um!" und wenig Fair Play. Ist das noch so, hat sich das in 20 Jahren geändert?
@javahippie Das Spiel hat sich komplett geändert für die Kiddies. Da wird heute - wenns richtig gemacht wird - angepasster "Kinderfußball" gekickt.
Da soll der Spaß im Vordergund stehen, nicht die Regeln.

Weiß jemand, ob es ie Fahrpläne für den Nahverkehr in #Mainz als PDF oder textuelle Webseite gibt? Online finde ich nur PDF pro Verkehrslinie, das ist auch ausreichend, aber viel Arbeit.
Ich würde gerne ein Kartenoverlay bauen, das anzeigt, wie lange man von einem beliebigen Ort in der Stadt bis zum Hauptbahnhof mit den öffentlichen braucht, inklusive durchschnittlicher Wartezeit auf den nächsten Bus / Straßenbahn.
