It's c185. I have made my first choices, which were 1) cap and tap the natural gas geyser. 2) get a ladder nearly to space.
The ladder's just a ladder. The natural gas enclosure is dead simple: we pipe some cold brine for cooling, and we pump it down to 2kg of atmo. There's a third gas infinistore waiting for it.
This leads naturally to my next step: get the kitchen and great hall into late-middle shape.

If you model the impact of working LLM coding tools (big increase in productivity, little downside) where the bottlenecks are largely outside of coding, increases in coding automation mostly just reduce the need for labour. I.e. 10x increase means you need 10x fewer coders, collapsing the job market
@baldur I think the one thing that helps offset all the potential looming disaster is that, in practice, there's no evidence that you get 10x the practical functionality using LLM coding tools, and in general all the (very scant) evidence is these tools are actually 0.9x multipliers since LOC != functionality.
So using LLMs for codegen seems to make software release *slower* rather than faster, as the thing we care about is things-that-happen rather than raw LOC.
@sarajw It just seems like I always only find out after the fact that there are whisper networks and group chats and lunch outings and shit that nobody ever invited me to, and I feel too uncomfortable to ask to be included. Maybe I just don't belong after all, since they're always going on about husbands and kids and I just don't have anything to contribute.
@JessTheUnstill @sarajw idk. It’s mysterious sometimes how groups form, but often a component to group cohesion is exclusivity and exclusion. It can feel really isolating.
I’ve enjoyed observing and thinking about groups I’m outside of as an anthropologist might, and focusing instead on the individuals I like and who get me.

Fourier transforms produce the component functions, right?
So it is supposed to already be giving you the frequencies that make up the total sound.
So if you see relationships between those frequencies, it should mean they are directly related - either through overtones or resonance between oscillators or some other, unknown method.
Does that make sense?
@androcat - everything you say is right, though I'm not analyzing a sound, I'm analyzing a zeta function which (though I didn't mention it) expresses how good different tuning systems are at expressing intervals built from frequency ratios 3:1 and 5:1. This is a preliminary to a more thorough analysis of a musically more interesting zeta function.
In short: what I'm doing will make more sense when I write something for real. This was just an exploration.
