"The state of the union address was like 72 hours before the US and Israel chose to attack Iran’s capital and call for regime change, and Trump did not even mention his policy toward Iran before Congress, much less ask for a declaration of war."

"CNN is saying the Iranian attack happened after Trump 'lost patience with negotiations'.
I don’t believe it. The negotiations were cover. This was always the plan. The scale of the military buildup showed that."

"Worth noting that Japan using peace talks with Washington as cover for their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor is one of the reasons we were so fucking furious at them on December 8, 1941.
It's WHY FDR called it a Day of Infamy."

"Throughout the entire Cold War, 'peace talks in Geneva' used to mean something.
Those days are now over.
The United States used the Geneva talks as cover to finalise military operational planning for an all-out offensive attack. Nothing but a cynical charade. An illegal war.
21st century hell."

"I've literally no patience for anyone saying trans KNs 'just' have to go to DMV & get a new license. There was no time given and no process in place. Letters were sent to some whose licenses were invalidated, but not all. There was no grace period & many weren't notified. More or less a mathematical inevitability people will be charged for suspended licenses who had no idea a legally issued license was invalidated overnight for being trans."

" 'The persecution is the point,' said Rep. Abi Boatman, a Wichita Democrat and the only transgender member of the Legislature, who received the [Kansas Dept of Revenue] notice on Wednesday.' To underscore that: a Kansas state legislator is among those whose driver’s license will be voided.
Officials say they expect around 1,800 people to have their identity documents revoked."

"Let me say this: fairly high chance a court will stay the law & you will forget the Kansas Legislature tried to criminalize nearly every trans person in the state.
That will be a mistake.
Youth gender-affirming care bans were found obviously unconst'l first time a court looked at them. What changed? SCOTUS are right wing fanatics and GOP HATES that you have rights under constitution.
They are coming for all of us. Openly. Lawlessly."

"To do this, anti-trans lawmakers in Kansas moved fast to change the law, overrode the governor’s veto, and pushed for the legal changes to go into effect nearly immediately. That kind of power—to void gender on official documents, to compel gender conformity—is terrifying and it will not stop here."

"The letters arrived today. Not last week, not two weeks ago when it was passed or a week ago after the veto was overridden. They arrived the night before the changes were live so no one could do anything about it, just to rub it in and be able to say they’d given notice."

"As of tonight, licenses of trans people across KS are being invalidated en masse, overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know you’re living through history, so let me assure you: it’s happening now.
Not just driving: voting, work, travel, picking up pkg, applying for credit, applying for job, renting, filling Rx, visiting loved ones in hospital. Not expired, but legally invalid."
