As part of their argument against the end of the contributory principle for National Insurance, the Women's Budget Group also make a clear & concise proposal for tax reform:
a) A 2% tax on assets over £10 million, raising up to £24 billion annually;
b) Reforming council tax to make it more progressive;
c) Equalising Capital Gains Tax & income tax rates, raising up to £12 billion;
d) Replacing Inheritance Tax with a fairer lifetime receipts tax.
