Unmedicated me (so today since I'm sick and tired of sleeping so little my brain is fine but my body can't walk to the gym) has the inner emotional life of ten people.
That can be both a power and a burden. I still think I can do far more with ADHD CBT than medication.
I know how to harness it otherwise I wouldn't be doing it everyday in the morning WHEN unmedicated. What I haven't learnt (and is the reason I do take meds) is how to harness it without exhausting my mind.
The thing that works for that is LDX, but in exchange my body wakes up exhausted.
