Classic LPs for vinyl returnees No.10
Santana. Santana
While some might choose Santana's next LP (Abraxas) I'd always go with their first album. This late 60s gem set out latin rock fusion with a lot of energy (and percussion). It includes the festival favourite Soul Sacrifice (see Woodstock), and Jingo which edges towards latin disco many years before Candido made that clear in his cover version. Another LP that shifted the possibilities of pop & rock.
