This week I've been mainly reading, no. 272.
If you've been fascinated by the frescos in Sienna's town hall, you will enjoy Jules Lubbock's Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s Good & Bad Government, Reconsidered (2025) which offers a comprehensive account both of their meaning & the way Lorenzetti likely came to the deception he settled on. Its a pretty dense book (and expensive) but for those interested in the frescos likely worth it as it is full on interesting analyses.
