As Rafael Behr argues, Keir Starmer's reticence in condemning US actions in Venezuela look a lot less like a strategic calculation & a lot more like the difficulty the Govt. has in thinking about the future of the UK....

Starmer seem to think (or accept) a 'special relationship' with the US is still possible & more use/value than rebuilding relations with the European Union.

Behr concludes this really does not look sensible in the current circumstances.
