I've been writing a blog series about automating AV archival workflows. Part 3 dropped today, and it's the one I'm most excited about. The post details the features and functionality of AV Spex, a Python app I wrote for the Smithsonian's NMAAHC. It wraps open-source tools like QCTools, MediaConch, and MediaInfo into a single GUI, checks files against expected specs, and collects everything into one HTML report.
