One was added on to application for a base level, shelf stacking job at a large UK supermarket. Failed again🤪

@ChrisMayLA6 The same is happening in the Indian job market. With the emergence of AI technologies, employers expect even more expertise from freshers. Earlier, developers were primarily responsible for coding. Then they were expected to handle Ops (CI/CD) as well, and now even system architecture. AI has made roles more complex rather than easier. In some ways, AI is taking over repetitive coding tasks, but expectations from entry-level candidates have only increased.

@ChrisMayLA6 The idea that you have to have done the job already to get the job has been the hard paradox of early careers in particular for a long time.

People are treated like sparkplugs: they are selected to slot in a do the job uniformly form the start, the tossed away if they can't at any point.

Unless we change the mindset in organisations to embrace potential with a willingness to invest in people and their development, I don't see how we get our of this situation
