It’s all well and good to be worried about centralized social media when it’s owned by fascists and there are troops on the streets and peaceful protesters are being kidnapped and killed and we’re about to strike Iran, but next time, can we listen to the people sounding the alarm a little earlier?

fascism is rule of most reactionary circles of major capital who substitute class struggle with "we need to stand together, worker and capitalism, because foreign capitalists want to conquer you" struggle. Sounds familiar I wager :)

@ChemicalEyeGuy I'm not sure there's ever been a time in recorded history when US public schools have been considered to be leading, unfortunately. But I agree that we should get there.

Our public #education system has been eroding for several decades, and it is NOT the fault of only one political party.

@ben Alas, nope, the way it works for most people is that real, actual pain must occur first, then and only then it can motivate action. As in, don't pull one's hand away from a hot burner, until it hurts.
