I'm going to have to go over some old news archives to be sure, but I honestly do not remember hearing about the government covering up aliens during a Democrat's presidency. It's always the last trench of distraction, a bucket of hot garbage nonsense that gets poured into the infostream whenever a Republican president is neck deep in shit and needs a timeout somehow.
