New research suggest legislators under-estimate the public support for green polices, and think a minority of loud objectors to such polices are more typical than they actually are (egged on by a right wing, climate-sceptical media).
This may be the background to the accelerating support for the Zac Polanski led Green Party of England & Wales: at last a politician willing to express views many hold (but Labour is reticent about)

It baffles me how die-hard Labour supporters despise what is happening with their party yet continue to throw in all their support. This, regardless of the fact that Labour has practically gone full fascism.
I ask, what's wrong with going with what is important in your heart instead of falling on one's own "pride" sword?
This isn't the only country that has their major political parties all go fascist, xenophobic, racist and bigoted. *hint hint, #us.
Yet when a party such as the #greenpartyuk actually makes sense, the 1st thing I hear from my very left leaning friends is how they hate the 20mph speed limit?!?! Really?!?! That's your reason for voting for fascism?

The politics of London's place in the UK is demonstration of how the right captures an issue & then retunes it to race.
Many of us who live outside London complain about how it capture resources, controls the UK to its own ends & promotes (entrenches) regional inequalities & powerlessness.
But, the Right has taken that negativity & made it about the racial make-up of London communities, misapplying a complaint about political economy into an attack on multiculturalism.
This poses an acute dilemma for the #conservatives because their best prospect for gains in the elections in May lies in #london where they have a reasonable chance of taking two or three boroughs back from #labour. But not if they give the impression of hating the place and its residents!
