Hey folks. I am currently looking for projects to work on in the coming months. If you have an indie game, ttrpg, or card game in the works and are in need of art, let me know.

Started reading a new-to-me RPG adventure tonight!
Almost immediately got stabbed in the eye ... because it's "illustrated" with GenAI slop.
Fuck to the NO. Like a lot of folks, I get instant stomach-flipping nausea from that stuff from the Uncanny Valley effect, let alone the ethical horrors of the plagiarism machine.

A scrap of the #Hammondal map I was using as a doodle base on my tablet tonight.
A lot of my work process is "doodle on top of another thing I've already doodled." 😅
#TTRPG FantasyMaps #Hammondal
I genuinely don’t know what the next fantasy #ttrpg I run is going to be, but the pitch is absolutely going to be “Wizard Bullshit”
At some point I should write a sad, bland blogpost on how the splatbooks were harbingers of Low-Trust Trad swamping High-Trust Trad out of commercial existence.
Not because splats are intrinsically LTT design: they're not! They _can_ be very valuable to roleplayers, and their designers are sometimes passionate about that very thing.
But because of how publishers viewed them from the _business_ side.
Observation: I did industry work in the 90s, the Decade of the Splatbook, for several publishers ... but I never contributed to a single splatbook. 🤔
It wasn't a conscious thing. The only 90s fad I consciously tried (and failed) to avoid was metaplot [shudder].
With splats I accidentally danced through those raindrops.
The (still-untitled) Hammondal Campaign has become a really fun side project to the main Hammondal book. 😊 I know it's going to become a much more stressful and demanding project later on, but right now the Campaign is still early-stages, so I'm just sketching out approximately 100 problems to form the campaign "ground floor," a process I find delightful _and_ beneficial to the main book.
Very much the "throw stuff at the wall" phase.
You can get a sense, from any RPG publisher, how okay they are with publishing something they know to be ... okay.
I'm not talking about inexperienced publishers who sincerely don't know the difference. I mean people who've been around the RPG block a few times and concluded that, really, a book doesn't need to be ... good. It can be just okay, and still get the nod.
I know from my industry days that sometimes it's about having already booked the print job. 😆
I've read this thrice and still have no idea what exactly the use case is for a #DivinationDeck in GM'ing. Can anyone help me by explaining when you'd use it why and how?
