If you need to get somewhere with air conditioning for a while, and can't deal with sitting in a shopping centre—check your local library!
Most libraries have air conditioning, don't mind if you bring snacks and drinks in (please be careful), have books, games and toys for kids, and spaces to sit and read and soak up that a/c.
You don't even have to have a library card (but of you want one, they're usually free to join!)
Libraries are amazing places.
