You use open source software because *it is the only option*. In the long run, if it isn't open source, it doesn't exist.

I'm sure there will be a ton of slop generators ready to fill the gap made thousands of creators having had their toolbox evaporate. Fortunately there is #libre, #freesoftware and the more folks that create with it, the "better" (whatever that means) it will get. #Krita, #Blender, #OBS, etc.
