With the Govt. showing no signs of 'blinking first' (opinion of a Prison system 'source' in The Obsever), Qesser Zuhrah may be about to become the youngest hunger striker to die in a UK prison;
while (disappointingly) James Timpson has tried to minimise her impending death, the Govt. may well find the death of a young women, held on remand for a year, for a crime that amounts to criminal damage, is not a good look for Labour, how ever much they want the Right to see them as 'hard'.
@ChrisMayLA6 A death by starvation at Christmas, while all our politicians are chomping down on their chestnut-stuffed turkeys, pigs in blankets, christmas puddings, mince pies and rich fruit cakes, would be very bleak.
Qesser Zuhrah has not yet been -- and will now likely never be -- found guilty of any crime.
It would (deservedly) do this government a great deal of harm.
If she dies, we should all go and demonstrate on the streets
