Passing 800 words on this short and close to minimum word count, but I think I'm somewhat less than halfway done. Increasingly convinced that not only will this story be hated but that I've made MYSELF thoroughly hateable with the inhospitable choices in everything from orthography to exposition to the run-on sentences, which I'm trying to excuse by calling the piece an extended prose poem lol. But it's also a strangely relaxing perspective and way to write, for all I'm so new at it, and the kind of thing I've wanted to try for a while. #amWriting #LjWrites

Got holiday travels & visits done ahead of the actual holiday this time. My plan to complete the current short story ahead of the new year is probably shot since New Year's is *checks time* tomorrow, but hey, I can try a running start 😁 Maybe I can get the bones of it down, at least. #amWriting #LjWrites
