@maikel @Binder Netflix recently decided to just go ahead and give me the English dub on some French media, without even making it clear that there were options. They did some weird AI translation of text, too; basically gaslit me into thinking that maybe I’d been mistaken that it was supposed to be in French and had some weird audio sync issue so the dialogue didn’t quite match the actors’ faces.

Really pissed me off. I *enjoy* watching TV and film in other languages; it’s excellent practice for my listening comprehension!
