It is very foggy today and we are giving the few other park-goers the “leviathan emerging from the mists” experience (the leviathan wants cuddles) #dog #dogs #dogsofmastodon

@0xabad1dea striking me like a lightning bolt that this is the first time I've seen an Odin blep. Even cuter than I would have expected, S++

@0xabad1dea I had a teacher with two of those dogs - mother and son - which she brought to school. From them, I understood that Newfoundlander + body of water = everything is wet. It’s not malice, just a natural law.
Doesn’t that happen with Odin?

@Wilmz Odin actually doesn’t seem too interested in swimming! Possibly because when he was a puppy, he didn’t realize that canals don’t work like ponds and fell in head-first into deep water.

@0xabad1dea @Wilmz Yeah, it definitely varies per dog. My former dogs had completely opposite reactions to water: One was practically "a fish with fur" to the point he actually swam out to say hi to some boats on the local lake, while the other was very much "ankle deep at the most" (And she was corgi-sized, so that wasn't very deep)
