@ProPublica It's not just an AK problem, it's a cop problem. Cops are in it for what they can get out of it. They're all listening to WII-FM (what's in it for me,) pensions, promotions, fame, notoriety, adulation, etc. Cops won't spend effort on any case unless they see some tangible benefit to themselves. It's the capitalist way.
