If the party has anything to do with work—she's a courier for the mob—she's going to practice being invisible. Otherwise, her demeanor is to be where the men are. She was very athletic as a teen, excellent at the day angel equivalent of track and field, competitive with the boys. Not only was she the one to beat, she also showed teammates what they were doing wrong to teach them how to improve. Coach thought she had a future as a teacher. She had lots of friends, all boys. Often the athletic club ate together after afternoon practice, and she was the center of attention—and other things. In a scene in the current WIP, she's a photographer at the afterparty of a theatre premiere. She isn't shy, and ends up being handsy with the prig of a star actor. Mind you, she's drunk too much punch, but still… handsy. Definitely the center of the party.
