As the ramification of the Epstein Files' revelations about the actions of Peter Mandelson continue to dominate the news, I think we can safely say that Keir Starmer will seek to inoculate himself from criticism of his decsion to send Mandy to Washington (as Ambassador) by throwing Morgan McSweeney to the wolves.
As Mr McSweeney will know political loyalty has a remarkably short half-life in times like these.

@ChrisMayLA6 Well, Keir seems to be circling the drain (politically) himself, last week the odds of his 'exit' in 2026 (from the people who 'put their money where their mouth is' on William Hill) were 1.61 (decimal format), this morning 1.5 and now 1.33 (eg. bet £3 and get £4 back!).

@ChrisMayLA6 I think removing McSweeney may benefit Labour. A lot of the errors of the government in the past year can be laid at his door.
