@danish_akhtar7 signal is quite intentionally *not* federated, and its founder spoke and wrote many times about why they are actively hostile to 3rd party clients and federated servers: https://signal.org/blog/the-ecosystem-is-moving/
As far as I know, this has never changed.

@glyph I know Signal isn't federated. I am just asking if every other chat app becomes federated, will Signal then be forced to become federated also? Do Signal's values permit it to do so?
