@Richard_Littler these individuals I call “sport observers”, because they state the obvious. I’ve only known a few true sport commentators.
A man named Keith Jackson is one my grandfather appreciated because: he didn’t talk continuously; what he said added new information and value to the event; remarks were delivered beautifully with correct grammar; there were few stats spewed.
Two of my faves: Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen. 🚵🚵♀️🚵♂️
