#ScribesAndMakers 9 Is one really the loneliest number?

Well, if it's a metaphor for being alone, then it depends on what a person wants. One is certainly lonely when a person doesn't want to be alone, but it's not universal. And unfortunately I think some people who might otherwise be perfectly content alone get a lot of pressure not to be.

Otherwise, 1 stands on its own as well as any number, and can be combined with any number of other numbers, including a whole mess of other 1s.

111111111111111111111

But then again, just because all of those 1s are strung together doesn't mean some of them aren't lonely.

Combine it with other 1s and 0s and it can do some pretty remarkable things. Are they lonely, though? Maybe they're too busy to think about it.
