@grimalkina I feel like I've seen someone talking about studying this, but I have no idea who or where.
I'd want to start with, did they find joint attention. But finding it would have required someone to have it with, so the situation is complex.

@grimalkina that is an astonishing development. And astonishingly complex, and opaque to us who do this social thing.
The psychology, and philosophy of psychology, literature is exhilerating and exciting and really frustrating. It's so hard to be clear about what the research shows.
@grimalkina absolutely astonishing. It seems hard to make sense out of how living things are able to think about things and food. But other creatures of their own kind? Other creatures of a different species?
Our new puppy (a rescue, we don't really know how old she is, maybe a year?) is showing entertainingly teenage behaviors. She'll be super friendly and cuddly. She stands up on you to say I want to go out. Then she utterly refuses to have the leash put on.
Not a clue what she's thinking.
