What would the original sentence have been?
It's amazing that a country with a population of 17 million has something like 150 dialects.
"Lelijke Lelies" might be a great name for a Dutch rock band.

@0xabad1dea FYI Lillys are poisonous for dogs (just they don't kill dogs via the air like they kill cats). You may already know this but keep they out of reach.

@mer despite the "licking mommy's notebook" incident, Odin is very good about not eating things that haven't been offered to him. (They're on the middle of the kitchen table. I've never once seen him jump up there, including previous times there's been lilies.)

@0xabad1dea He didn't just switch to ABN? Most Limburgers I know that live outside of Limburg don't have an accent in ABN at least

@schoentoon he's speaking standard Dutch, not Limburgs. But we can't get down the street without a stranger asking how he got so lost as to end up on the other side of the river
