Okay so had a minor surgery today (went fine), they call in prescriptions for post op pain meds (cuz ya know, SURGERY), get to the pharmacy and they're like "oh uh your insurance requires prior authorization for those, could take up to 3 weeks"
Fuck US health insurance

it feels definitely like the hospital fucked up there since even if that's the case, they should have gotten prior auth… prior
@clarfonthey sadly this is not our first "your routine medication needs prior auth, it will take weeks" on this insurance 😖

hopefully you don't end up suffering for this too much, or at least maybe the company in question has a Luigi coming for them
@clarfonthey I managed to get some meds (pharmacy helped out) in spite of my insurance
But I'm still mad about it, like this is their one job*
*no it's not, their job is to give their investors new yachts
