@0xabad1dea I didn't know Diamine Quartz Black, and I've been doing this off and on for around a decade? (I do know Diamine; they're some of the few non-permanent inks I buy, because ✨ sparkly! ✨ ) (looks at sample) Oh, that's why. When I first got into this I went looking for The Blackest of Black. I initially went with Noodler's Heart of Darkness but realised that it takes a while to dry.... I finally settled on Platinum Carbon Black as a go-to. Quartz Black is decidedly _un_-saturated; it's sort of the darkest of greys...

@stonebear2 to be clear, I chose Diamine Quartz Black because it has Quartz in the name and not because it's particularly well known
