Tried writing a blog post summarizing my little #LLM coding agent experience, but its completely pointless.
It works better than I would have thought, I assume it will keep improving, it introduces hard dependencies to SaaS providers, prices will be extremely high in the future, it's exploiting people, trained on code with unclear licensing status, burns tons of energy and (most vendors) support fascists. Experiment ended, hard pass.

From your experience, how much faster you have been, compared to pure coding yourself?
Can you estimate it?
@joergi There's no comparing it. I generated code way faster, but only if I skipped validating and reviewing it. Sometimes it generated huge amounts of okay code that would have taken days to write in 10 minutes, sometimes it looped for 20 minutes over trivial problems and introduced batshit-insane pseudo-solutions.
@javahippie @joergi my experience as well. Still useful to me to vibe code something while multitasking, or solve problems I've never faced but most developers have, or bootstrap a typical pattern (API, cli client with proper argument handling, etc.) very fast.
I'm trying to not become too dependent on it since I also foresee spiking prices in the not so distant future, and then that'll be the end for this hobbyist.
