@scallops I post almost exclusively about RPGs but I avoid the RPG hashtag in favor of the TTRPG one, not because it's my preferred term (I don't like it at all) but rather because it's the less-ambigous hashtag (the RPG tag is commonly used by computer game fans).
Of course, the TTRPG tag is becoming increasingly ambiguous itself 😆 But for now it's been the most reliable.
I imagine I'd be flooded with everything by following a broad hashtag like that. I want to find the niche tags, the #CozyRPG tag, the #MilScifiRPG tag, you know? Thanks for reaching out, @SJohnRoss !
@scallops You're imagining right, which is why it's essential, IMO, to use Filters in conjunction with tags.
My obscure tag of choice is HTTRPG, which is my own fixation, but I also use the tags associated with specific games (both to seek them out, like with the CoC tag, and to Filter them away, like with the dozen different DnD tags). 😆
@SJohnRoss Thanks for the filter tip, I've searched around and set up my first.
@scallops Filters are good medicine, and big thanks to posters who use tags consistently, since, even if they post about something you'd rather avoid, they're giving us all the tool to find it _or_ Filter it out.
It's the people who use no tags at all that wear me out. 😭
