@ZaneSelvans How much do you know about your water stops in advance? Some of those early legs look super dry from here. Mostly curious how you get intel about stuff like that ahead of time. Compared with e.g., Colorado Trail where everything is heavily documented and it's easy to figure out water stops in advance.
@coreysnipes I use the Open Street Map to plan routes, usually via Ride w/ GPS. I don't typically take a lot of pictures of people, but southern Mexico is pretty densely populated. It's hard to ride a whole day without passing through at least a small village, which will have some kind of water. There are also occasional cattle watering troughs fed by springs and I carry a water filter. So I don't really know where the water is going to come from ahead of time, but I can carry a full day's worth of water, or 2 days if it's cooler, so it seems to work out pretty well.
@ZaneSelvans Really cool; thanks for explaining. I enjoyed the photos immensely.
@ZaneSelvans Oh I missed the detail that this trip was to celebrate your 50th. Happy birthday also! 馃尞 馃嵒
