Started reading a new-to-me RPG adventure tonight!
Almost immediately got stabbed in the eye ... because it's "illustrated" with GenAI slop.
Fuck to the NO. Like a lot of folks, I get instant stomach-flipping nausea from that stuff from the Uncanny Valley effect, let alone the ethical horrors of the plagiarism machine.
@SJohnRoss I refuse to pay for AI illustrations, and even more I absolutely hate AI generated text.
If you want me to read something, write it yourself. If you can't be arsed to do it, I can't be arsed to read it either.
@Adept Yeah, I can't imagine wanting to waste moments of a mortal lifetime reading machine-generated word salad that some lazy thief has decided to publish. 😵
@SJohnRoss Yeah and even when slop images aren't immediately nausea-inducing the "style" (or lack thereof) is so boring and generic, I don't even want to look at it.
@ljwrites Yeah, it just feels ... dead. Like a corpse preserved in melted plastic.
@SJohnRoss yeah - for published works, I want to pay for people to have done the creative work.
*sigh* That's no fun.
