@0xabad1dea I mean, considering that Kuwait just successfully shot down three F-15's and Israel claims there was 'confusion,' I'd want working air raid sirens too in case somebody gets 'confused' again.

(They’ll presumably also send cell phone alerts with a description in a real emergency, assuming the emergency didn’t already kill the cell network.)

Here it used to be noon every wednesday.
Then 30+ years ago they upgraded from the old mechanical sirens to electronic ones, and ever since, it's been the first wednesday in May.
