@[email protected] My issue with the word "slop" in this is that its translation in my language isn't immediate, because the closest (sbobba or brodaglia) aren't words we use much.

@[email protected] @[email protected] There's a place in Italy called Fonteblanda which caught my eye as the name can literally be translated as 'the bland spring'. It's not the only or even the most natural translation, but I love the head canon that the person who named it did so accidentally by declaring how tasteless the local spring was.
Anyway... I wouldn't use the term in this context both because it is actually a real place, and because spring water doesn't have the right negative connotations for translation
@timbray Question from non-native english speaker 🙋♂️: Why with "en-"? Wouldn't "slopify" or "enslop" describe the process of enriching content with AI BS enough? Am I missing meaning?

@timbray I used "enslopification" in an ail this afternoon. Pretty clearly not something I concocted from whole cloth, and yes I will do what I can to spread 'enslopify' as that's too good not to share.

Anticipating that wandering shop has a call for art submissions getting assembled, we wanted to be a little lighthearted about a strictly human made submission but recognize that there's a lot of good use of digital tools. I came up with "no pixelslop flingers".
