Obviously this clock can only be improved by the addition of a language setting. And maybe timezones.

@cstross Hi Charlie! I made this.
German (at the least) is on the todo list. I just added some new toggles/labels today.
Timezones... I don't know. There's a fine line between 'accursèd' and 'eternally damned'.
@cstross I was about to intermesh my fingers and do my best evil villain laugh after thinking that one of the cursed language settings should be “Roman numerals”… except that rather annoyingly, those are nearly already alphabetized, boo. Only IX is out of place.
pretty sure that micro$oft teems uses this clock to help schedule multi-timezone meetings...
@cstross
Oh God. I wonder if it would be possible to make a purely mechanical gear train to produce these movements, at least for hours and minutes?
@cstross now do a stopwatch
Well I'm autistic and now I'm dead.
@cstross it looks like an adhd clock
@cstross @vasilis has some more beauties like this: https://vasilis.nl/clocks/
@cstross timezones: like this. Several of the demonic things.

@cstross
Just have French and UTC?
A strange clock.
If you shake an old mains clock, that uses a synchronous motor, as you power it up you can sometimes get it to go backwards.
@cstross I think you underestimate the opportunities for improvement. It should drift, possibly by a random amount that differs for each user, so as to require periodic resetting. This would obviously be accomplished by the rotation of a knob that moves the hands. Since the mode for using that knob disengages the drive mechanism from the hands, it should directly move them in a strictly mechanical and purely circular fashion.
@cstross
+1 for language localisation
@cstross I could accept all of this... except for the time zones. That's just evil.
