My planned FediForum session 3, which is a true unconference session in the sense that I am asking a question to which I do not have an answer. But I hope smart people will show up and we will constructively debate the problem and together progress our understanding.

The question is some variation of: is it possible to construct an organization that can pay its employees well, that can raise money that wants a financial return, that reliably delivers an innovative open social web application to lots of happy users, and is **structurally incapable** of enshittifying or screwing its users down the road? Even if private equity makes a takeover bid or the key people in the organization turn evil?
