#Google bought out the firm that made my pedometer, and the updated data privacy statement is like: "We take your PRIVACY SERIOUSLY and GUARANTEE that we will NOT use ANY of your data for purposes that we have not yet thought of.
Please note that there may be data privacy amendments in the future."

Are you switching pedometers? I have serious issues with giving all my info to them, but love the functions and analysis my smartwatch has given me. Would readily jump ship if there are comparable fedi style options.
@ElRelle If there are workable alternatives, I'd gladly jump ship
@Richard_Littler great business opportunity there.
A while back, my fast, perfectly functioning TV hub became Android TV (also owned by Google), and now when I turn on the TV, I have to watch a sluggish loading icon spinning for several minutes. And then, even when it does finally open, the programme listings/schedule don't always appear
While I'm at it, Google advanced search no longer works. It forgets search terms you've entered, especially if they're in quotes. And of course the imposed AI summaries are tedious. I use other engines wherever possible.
I'm already halfway there, but I'm definitely heading towards an open-source future.
@Richard_Littler I gave up using google as a search engine a while back. I've been using Duck Duck Go as my main search engine. It always takes me a while to get to change, but I've settled down with it now. They have a no-AI version which is my main search & browser. The only thing is it sometimes blocks links or rather they don't always load properly. I use Edge as a backup in that case.

I did so (reluctantly).
In the new 'Google Fit', I just selected 'download all your data' and this is the result:
