Last year my husband was able to help me harvest the potatoes and corn.
He had so much fun.
I prioritized his favorites this year.
It really tickled me to see him finding the potatoes and filling his bucket.
Just a joy.
@NorcalGma2 I think it was Kant -- working from memory here, so double-check this -- who said that the potato is the only absolute moral good.

@thewordsaremaps @NorcalGma2 Technically, the blackberry is the honey badger of edible plants, but potatoes are right up close in toughness. :)
