After almost two weeks of this heat, my brain has turned to glitchy mush. Yesterday evening I struggled to put the lid back on a bottle of water and then realised why it wouldn't work - it was a Bic biro pen lid. I find my mislaid glasses in the fridge. I look for the spoon that's already in my hand.
This morning I tried to fill a colander, rather than a pan, with water. Good morning.
@Richard_Littler something something Sisyphus makes breakfast
@Richard_Littler last night I was cooking dinner for my wife and I. The dish needed finishing off under the grill.
I put cast iron pan under grill to crisp up topping
..
..
Then promptly used my unprotected hand to pull it out to serve!!
Spent all of last night tending burnt fingers with ice cubes and cool packs 😞
This morning I made coffee with our Quooker tap.. and used chilled fizzy water instead of boiling.
Brain = mush as you say.
@Richard_Littler see, I'm worried now. Are you doing better? Check in with a doc?

@quinn Thanks, but executive dysfunction is a lifelong companion. I'm used to it.
@Richard_Littler if it's the normal no brain good, right there with you 😁
(I worry about the Brits especially in this weather, y'all aren't used to it.)
@Richard_Littler Not nice for you but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with a fluffy heat brain! I try to work but it's too hot for writing. And if I touch paper for drawing, I get sweat stains ... let's hope for some cooler days.
