Just reminded in the context of this thread that a CS undergrad student ask me for some tutoring in their intro to programming course, and in the second session went "wait - how many programming languages do you know? How many are there? Do I need to know all of them?"
I'm teaching our grad intro PL course for the first time (!) starting this Friday, and I'm gonna do it *my* way, and I'm both scared and excited. It's going to be a *lot* of work. For me, I mean. (And possibly for them! But definitely for me.)
