Random question for any teachers out there: I'm going to be delivering some training in a school that uses Google Education on getting the most out of their IT. I know how to use all the individual apps in a business context, but do you have any teacher/school specific tricks or tips you wish someone had told you about earlier? #teacher #teaching #classroom #google

@mavnn I think for teachers, I would say:
Force copy documents, like templates, by changing the end of the URL to /copy (instead of /edit). When a student clicks the link, a copy is added to their Drive.
Keep drive generally organized, but searching is the powerful tool. It checks document titles as well as body content. Work in Drive rather than Docs/Slides/Sheets separately.
I tend not to use Workspaces because they're not as flexible as shared folders.
@mavnn Long time I used Google in an educational context, but group management was bad, either for conference or for marks. Subject display was fine, and I missed some interaction tools at that time, such as polls, questions, stuff like that. Never used whiteboard (I was screen sharing my own) but I kinda remember anyone could draw on it back in those days. Worked fine for what we had to do nonetheless.
