As more ICE & Federal agents arrive in Minnesota, from this side of the Atlantic, it looks almost as if the Court of the Tangerine Tyrant is trying to provoke a (localised?) civil war... what could be the motive?
Declaration of a state of emergency & the suspension of the mid-term elections perhaps?
More distraction from the Epstein Files (lack of) release(s)?

@ChrisMayLA6 It’s the only way to work around justice and democracy. The US is in a state of ‘Rule by Law’ instead of ‘Rule of Law’. You’ve got a president who had himself placed above the law and now dictating it. If rule of law and justice would be applied, _all_ current enforcers, GOP members and oligarchs would end up in jail. So they destroy justice and democracy. 🤷♀️
Yes completely agree: the 'thick' norm of the Rule fo Law has been largely replaced by the 'thin' rule by law... which for a state that has historically been run by lawyers is an indictment of the legal profession among other things (of which this is course by no means the most serious).

My gut feeling is Trump is reacting, not instigating. He can't deal with his authority being challenged, and his response is always to hit back. His second administration is far worse than the first because he has surrounded himself with people who encourage his worst urges.

The only way these people can respond is by doubling down. If they stood down, they would be acknowledging that they are in the wrong. They can’t do this.

He very much wants to send in federal troops. And yes, it's part distraction from the Epstein files and the fact that Trump is a pedophile and rapist, and part simple brutality of a brutal man.
They want a civil war. They forget they lost the last one.
